Websites & web applications
Websites, publishing platforms, and interactive applications that make complex work accessible — to your audience and your team.
A website your audience and team can use
I develop websites and web applications for organisations that need to explain their work, publish information or give people a useful tool. The scope can range from a focused organisational website to a publication library, directory or interactive research platform.
The work starts with what visitors need to find or accomplish and what your team needs to maintain after launch.
What you can bring
- An organisation needs a clear public website for its work, programmes and contact routes.
- Editors need to publish and update articles, reports or project pages through a CMS.
- A growing collection needs categories, search and navigation that help readers find relevant material.
- Research data needs an interface for exploring records, relationships or locations.
What I can build
The scope can include information architecture, responsive interfaces, content models, CMS integration, search, forms and connections to external services. For an application, it can also include the backend and data interface behind the user-facing tool.
I use reusable page structures so that adding a publication or updating a programme does not require rebuilding the page. With Sanity, the editing interface can reflect the actual content your team manages: publications, authors or services.
How the work is scoped
We map the main visitor journeys and identify the content and data needed for each. Existing materials help establish the page types, while an early representative page makes the design and editing approach concrete.
Implementation includes the agreed page templates and interactions, with attention to keyboard access, responsive behaviour, metadata and loading performance. Multilingual content and content migration are scoped explicitly when the project needs them.
What you receive
A website or application built around the agreed journeys, an editing setup for managed content and documentation for maintaining it. Hosting configuration and launch support can be part of the delivery.
To start, share your current site or materials, who needs to use the new site and what they should be able to do there.
